Care

We recommend avoiding exposing your piece to scent, soap, chemicals or cosmetics as well as water, whether this be fresh, salted or chlorinated, as these could affect their colour and aspect.

By storing your jewellery in Golsong's packaging provided to you upon your purchase, you will protect your jewellery from scratching, denting, chemicals, direct sunlight and excessive heat or cold. 

We recommend that you do not wear your precious items when performing certain activities such as sports or gardening to prevent them from being knocked and break. 

Diamonds

1. Diamonds are the hardest minerals on the Mohs scale, meaning they can easily scratch other materials.
Therefore, we advise to store your diamonds separately. Keep in mind, even though diamonds are the hardest minerals, they can chip if hit with enough force and at the right angle! 

2. Diamonds attract greasy substances giving them a dull look and remove their sparkle. To keep your diamond clean and shiny, we recommend to use an old toothbrush and some soap, rinse it with warm water and dry it with a dry cloth. Your diamond will look as new!

An alternative if your jewellery is in gold or platinum and without gemstones, is to have it cleaned with an ultrasonic machine. Make sure your jewellery solely has diamonds and no coloured stones as these could break in the machine!

Pearl

Pearls are relatively soft and can scratch easily, especially if stored with other jewellery. As for diamonds, keep your pearl jewellery separately. To keep your pearls in perfect conditions, always delicately clean them with a soft dry cloth after each use. This way you will remove any grease or acid from your skin that could damage your pearls with time.

Avoid as much as possible any contact with nail polish remover, perfume or hairspray!

Gemstones

There are many different gemstones in the world, all with different hardnesse that could scratch each other. We recommend storing your jewellery in Golsong's packaging provided to you upon your purchase and not stack them together.

Gemstones like diamonds attract greasy substances. We recommend (not for silver) to use as often as you wish, an old toothbrush and some soap, rinse it with warm water and dry it with a dry cloth.

DO NOT place your gemstones in ultrasonic machines as you have a high chance of damaging or even break your stones!

Note: Opals should never be placed in water as they will craze (fracture) when drying!

Plain silver jewelleries, if unworn do tarnish. Simply use a silver cleaning product or a soft dry cloth, give it a good but gentle rub and it will look as new again!

However, we are never protected against any incidents. Therefore, please directly inform us of any issue with your received postal item within 12 hours upon reception. We will do our best to help you with the matter.
