Responsible Sourcing

We personally travel around the world in order to find the best ethical stones for you.

As a GIA gemmologist with a strong will to be as transparent and ethical as possible; Ghislaine, director of Golsong personally travels around the world on a yearly basis, in order to find the best ethical stones for you. There is nothing else she loves the most then meeting her miners, creating a long-term friendship and buying gemstones directly from them, assuring them a fair and decent price as well as offering you ethical goods at competitive prices.

Today, there are a number of systems put in place in order to trace diamonds to their source and verify as well as certify mines meeting regulations and trade standards around the world. Unfortunately gemstones are more difficult to source responsibly than diamonds as there are no formal third-party put in place such as the ones mentioned here after.
Reason why Ghislaine prefers buying her gemstones directly from the miners.

Few ethical diamonds organizations around the world

The “Kimberley Process” committed to remove conflict diamonds from global supply chain. The “CanadaMark” system established by the Canadian Government for their diamonds. “Diamonds for Peace” which is an NGO working towards a supply of ethically sourced diamonds and supporting small scale miners, between Japan and Liberia, “Maendeleo Diamond Standard Certification System (MDS)” to improve African artisanal diamond production standard have all been created and hard working toward ethical and fair conditions for miners.

How Golsong's work towards ethical gemstones and diamonds

To make sure Golsong offers you traced and ethically sourced diamonds Ghislaine, director and gemmologist of Golsong works in strong collaboration with only a few ethical diamond brokers in Antwerp,London and New York as well as directly with miners she meets on a yealry basis, guaranteeing you the authenticity as well as ethicality of the gemstones and diamonds we are offering you.

Whether you wish to use only your stones or add new ones to your future creations, at Golsong we will be more than happy to advise you and discuss your projects.
