Diamond or gemstone which one to choose?

Diamonds remain the most traditional choice for engagement rings with their bright shine and perfect hardness for everyday wear but coloured stones do become more common and appreciated. Blue and multi coloured sapphires and red rubies are the next hardest gems on the Mohs scale making them perfect candidates to your ring followed by green emeralds, although this last one being not quite as hard and rather fragile. 

The beautiful side with colours stones is the large spectrum of colours allowing your love to be expressed in many different ways and probably larger stones reaching your budget.
